For advanced MLCAD/LDVIEW/LPUB4 users, here’s a patch that comes in useful when you make LDRAW CAD instructions for LEGO models with many arrows and sub models. If this doesn’t sound familiar to you, you won’t need this. I’d be surprised if more than 25 people on this earth used it, anyway. Download it here: GhostArrowsV1.
Purpose:
This patch preprocesses multipart MLCAD models for use with LPUB4. You need this in cases shown in the illustration:
When an arrow is used in some submodel, it also shows up in the main model when you use LPUB4 with LDVIEW/LDGLITE.
This is usually undesired, and this patch resolves that.
How to use:
– Unzip “GhostArrowsV1.exe” and “MPD_FileName.txt” to the directory of your .mpd multipart model.
– Inside “MPD_FileName.txt”, type the name of your .mpd multipart model (E.g.: example.mpd)
– Run GhostArrowsV1.exe
– Your model is patched and can be opened with MLCAD, LDVIEW or LPUB4
– RUN ONLY WHILE LPUB4 and MLCAD ARE CLOSED!
And if you’re one of those 25, say hello in the comments.
Hello. Tnx Laurens. I’ll look in to this.
Hello!
OHMYGODOHMYGODOHMYGOD ITS DANIELE BENEDETTELLI HI I CANT BELIEVE IM TALKING TO YOU HI AND HI LAURENS YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME OHMYGOD
it says “rtl140.bpl not found!”
You used Borland something? Then you should pack the runtime libraries inside the binary.
I did – C++ Builder. I knew I should upgrade to something more generic. It’s the bad side of university. They will brainwash you with the software used by the instructor. Hey, at least I didn’t use Delphi 🙂
Let’s see if I can do that.
C++ Builder is fine, but you should include the libraries in the binary. It’s still not working on my PC.
Hello Laurens! 25 is a low number. Probably will make that before the weekend is over. Anyway, keep up the fun and have a good one!
