Strider

Strider: The cover model of the Discovery Book

This creepy little monster walks in any direction on its six legs, and it is featured in Chapter 9 of the Discovery Book. Be sure to check out the OmniStrider as well.

This video by one of my readers shows the Strider in action.

Building and Programming this Robot
Instructions for building and programming this robot are included in The LEGO MINDSTORMS NXT 2.0 Discovery Book.

Can you upgrade the strider to like a 2nd version that is more durable and doesn’t have its legs break that often? The only hard floor in my house is the kitchen. A very small kitchen.

    1. How about giving it a try yourself? 🙂

I was a bit limited to the amount of pieces in the NXT 2.0 set, but you can use all of your own LEGO elements to make it stronger.

Website Maintenance

Robotsquare is currently being updated, which means that it may look a little different (and not very polished) for a while. All the content and pages should still be there, though. It should be back and fully operational soon. Thanks for your patience!
